Aeroprobe Corporation, a leading producer of air data and flow measurement systems for the aerospace, automotive, turbomachinery, wind turbine, and wind tunnel testing industries around the world, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support its Christiansburg, VA operations as well as providing shared services with other closely associated companies (60 – 75 employees).

 

The Human Resources Generalist will provide all facets of human resources management/support at the professional level including life-cycle recruitment, employee relations and HR policy implementation & communication.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage the recruitment life cycle from job description development/updates to onboarding. Includes posting to relevant sites, screening, offering input to hiring manager(s), offer letters, benefits explanation, and coordination of onboarding.
  • System entry of new hires and ongoing maintenance. Status changes, pay changes, terminations.
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise on HR-related best practices.
  • Perform compensation analysis to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Manage/maintain the performance management process.
  • Manage the offboarding process including exit interviews, explanation of benefit changes, etc.
  • Partner with management to maintain a culture of “best place to work” by providing guidance on retention strategies.
  • Internal HR audits to ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.

 

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of human resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive situations.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Insperity a plus.
  • SHRM certification a plus.

Aeroprobe Corporation is looking for a self-motivated and versatile manufacturing technician. As a member of the Manufacturing team, you will assemble and test state-of-the-art, precision, instrumentation for the aerospace and turbomachinery industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Braze, weld, and/or epoxy components according to engineering instructions and technical specifications
  • Perform dimensional inspection/quality control for manufactured parts and finished products
  • Maintain quality documentation to ensure traceability from raw materials to finished products
  • Assist with packaging and boxing of finished products
  • Perform some machining operations using lathe, mill, and EDM

Required:

  • Capable of working from schematics, diagrams, written instructions, and/or verbal instructions
  • High dexterity, able to work with small parts
  • Familiarity with measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, surface plates, etc.
  • Rigorous standards for quality
  • Self-motivated, strives to improve everyday
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Aeroprobe Corporation is looking for a self-motivated and versatile CNC programmer and machinist. In this position, you will program and machine precision, high quality metal parts relevant to the aerospace and turbomachinery industries from stainless steel, Aluminum, and Nickel alloy materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and cut parts in 303/304 stainless steel, Aluminum, and Nickel alloys (625 & 718)
  • Identify and procure necessary tooling and raw materials
  • Maintain quality documentation to ensure traceability from raw materials to finished products
  • Check part dimensions against tolerance and document measurements
  • Maintain the safe and reliable operation of equipment, machines, and manufacturing facility
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team on part design and manufacturing methods

Required:

  • 2+ years CNC programming experience (education experience will be considered)
  • Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code)
  • Flexibility to adapt to different design requirements
  • Self-motivated, strives to improve everyday
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • High dexterity, able to work with small parts

Desired:

  • Experience using CNC Mill and Lathe
  • Experience using FeatureCAM® software (or equivalent)
