Aeroprobe CEO Wins Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council (RBTC) presented Aeroprobe CEO Nanci Hardwick with the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year award at its annual TechNite awards this past Friday at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center.

Aeroprobe Corporation, a company that provides air data measurement systems to aerospace, automotive, turbomachinery, wind turbine, and wind tunnel testing industries around the world, is Hardwick’s second successful start-up. In addition to being an avid supporter of regional technology and business development, Hardwick was recently appointed president of the Ridge and Valley Chapter of AUVSI and serves as vice-chair on the board of the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance (NRVEDA).
Hardwick has also been recognized by Governor McDonnell for leadership in community and business and was named one of the “Top 20 under 40” business leaders in the region by the Blue Ridge Business Journal.

The Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council is an association of businesses and organizations in the greater Roanoke – Blacksburg region, working together to promote the growth and success of the region’s technology sector. Its membership includes more than 250 organizations.

TechNite is an annual celebration of the Roanoke-Blacksburg region’s technology community. Award nominees were narrowed down to groups of 10 finalists in each category and then a confidential committee of RBTC members chose award winners. The committee was also charged with naming the nominees for the People’s Choice Award, as well as the nominees and winner of the Ruby Award, which recognizes a brilliant and valuable asset to the Roanoke-Blacksburg region.
