Unique multi-probe project successfully tests F-35 and Jet Blast Deflector

October 26, 2011 - Our probe technology added a new example to its wide range of aerodynamic applications in a NAVAIR test featuring the highly advanced F-35 Lightning II jet plane. Aeroprobe participated in an ambitious project that required a custom-made solution for collecting large amounts of air and temperature data in an outdoor field test of jet blast deflectors.
Facing temperatures of up to 200° celsius and challenging weather elements, our probes successfully measured the necessary data and delivered it to a custom-built module capable of processing the wide scope of data points. Aeroprobe's efforts helped NAVAIR determine safety protocols for one of the most advanced joint strike fighters in military history.
The unique challenge of this field test demonstrates Aeroprobe's ability to develop complex, made-to-order solutions for customers.
