Aeroprobe and NRV Cares team up to play Santa
December 22, 2011 - For its 2011 Holiday Service Project, Aeroprobe reached out to NRV Cares, a Christiansburg, Va. based child-and-parenting nonprofit organization. NRV Cares provides a variety of services to underprivileged and needy youth in the New River Valley area, including a free parenting class for qualifying families.
This year, NRV Cares and Aeroprobe surprised the children in a parenting class with their very own Christmas bags and stockings. Each bag featured a candy stocking, stuffed bear, age-specific book and age-specific toy. The Aeroprobe team built a total of 24 bags for children ranging from 3 months old to 14 years old.
Next year, Aeroprobe looks forward to further service projects, including a potential partnership with the men and women of the Virginia Tech Police Department, which recently lost a member of its force, Deriek Crouse. For information on helping Officer Crouse's family, please visit Hokies for Crouse or the Virginia Tech Police Department.
