Aeroprobe’s additive friction stir tapped for HSLA aluminum alloy project

Aeroprobe and Michigan Tech University have teamed up to produce high-strength low-alloy aluminum for the Office of Naval Research.
With its unique additive friction stir technology, Aeroprobe is breaking ground in the processing and development of HSLA aluminum, a lighter, more corrosion-resistant alternative to denser iron and nickel-based alloys.
